- WHO: Confirmed Swine Flu Cases Top 1,000

- The World Health Organization says more than 1,000 cases of the swine influenza A-H1N1 have been confirmed in 20 countries.

- WHO Director-General Margaret Chan made the announcement Monday, as she briefed the U.N. General Assembly via video link from Geneva.

- China has denied it is targeting Mexicans with swine flu quarantine measures that Mexico has described as discriminatory and unjustified.

- Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu said in a statement Monday the quarantine is not directed at Mexican citizens and that there is no discrimination.
