- Afghan President Hamid Karzai is preparing to host a three-day conference in Kabul in hopes of crafting a national consensus on ending the nearly nine-year war.

- UN Report Shows Iran Expanding Nuclear Stockpile

- The United Nations nuclear agency says Iran is continuing to stockpile nuclear material and is preparing equipment to enrich uranium to higher levels.
