  • Rights Group: Olympics Displaces More Than Two Million Residents
  • 人權組織:奧運會使二百多萬人搬遷
  •   A rights group says the building of facilities for various Olympic games has displaced more than two million people in the past 20 years.
  • 一個人權組織說,過去 20 年來,修建歷次奧林匹克運動會場館使得 200 多萬人遷居。

  •   In a report Tuesday, the Geneva-based Center on Housing Rights and Evictions (COHRE) says displacements in Seoul, Barcelona, Atlanta, Sydney, Athens, Beijing and London have disproportionately affected minorities, the poor, and the homeless.

  •   The World Health Organization says a Chinese soldier has died from bird flu.

  •   A Beijing-based spokeswoman for the U.N.'s health agency said Tuesday that the 19-year-old male soldier died Sunday.

  •   He had been hospitalized May 14th after developing a fever and a cough.
