- US Military in Iraq Conducts Raids After Zarqawi Killing

- The U.S. military in Iraq says it conducted more than 35 raids overnight based on information gathered following the death of terrorist leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

- A U.S. military spokesman, Major General William Caldwell, announced the raids Friday as coalition forces sought to dismantle Zarqawi's al-Qaida in Iraq terror group.

- Football's World Cup Tournament Kicks Off in Germany

- Billions of fans across the globe will put their lives on hold and gather around television screens as football's (soccer's) World Cup tournament begins Friday in Germany. Teams from 32 qualifying nations will compete in the tournament, which is held every four years in a different country.
