- A Tibetan woman says she withdrew from a beauty pageant in Malaysia after the organizers told her she could only participate as "Miss Tibet-China."

- Indian-born Tsering Chungtak spoke to reporters Wednesday in New Delhi where she returned after taking part in the Miss Tourism competition for one week.

- North Korea says its leader Kim Jong Il has received a personal letter from President Bush.

- The official Korean Central News Agency said Thursday that the letter was delivered by U.S. nuclear envoy Christopher Hill during a rare visit to North Korea this week, and handed over to the country's Foreign Minister Pak Ui Chun.
