  • West African Leaders Meet in Emergency Session on Ivory Coast Crisis

  •   West African leaders Friday held emergency talks on the political crisis in the Ivory Coast as pressure mounted on President Laurent Gbagbo to concede defeat in last month's election and leave office.

  •   Last-minute Christmas travelers around Europe found themselves sleeping on cots or on the floor of crowded airports as heavy snows and ice forced airlines to ground their planes.
