  • US: NATO Members Must Pay Fair Share
  • 美国要求北约成员国增加防务开支
  •   U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates has warned NATO members that they must increase their defense spending commitments to the alliance.
  • 美国国防部长盖茨警告北约成员国说,他们必须增加对北约承担的防务开支。

  •   Gates spoke at NATO headquarters in Brussels Friday, in what is expected to be his last major policy speech before retiring at the end of the month.

  •   He said U.S. lawmakers are losing patience with covering three-quarters of defense spending for the coalition.

  •   Russia says it will lift its ban on European Union vegetables imposed in the wake of the deadly E. coli outbreak.
