  • 3 al-Qaida Suspects Arrested in Norway, Germany

  •   Three suspected al-Qaida members have been arrested in Norway and Germany, in what Norwegian and U.S. authorities say was a terrorist plot linked to similar ones in the United States and Britain.

  •   Two of the men were arrested in Norway and one in Germany.

  • EU Approves Bank Data Sharing Deal with Washington

  •   The European Parliament has approved a deal with the United States granting U.S. terrorism investigators access to information on European bank transfers.

  •   The agreement follows weeks of negotiations between Washington and the European Union aimed at boosting privacy provisions.
