- Thousands of demonstrators in Yemen are taking part in "day of rage" protests Friday, calling for the resignation of President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

- Albania's opposition is set to hold new street demonstrations in the capital, Tirana, nearly a month after a similar anti-government rally turned deadly.
