  • Nobel Committee Awards Peace Prize to Chinese Dissident
  • 諾貝爾委員會把和平獎授予中國異議人士劉曉波
  •   This year's Nobel Peace Prize diploma honoring Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo was gently placed on an empty chair, an honor the imprisoned Liu dedicated to the "lost souls" of China's dissident movement.

  • Beaten Russian Journalist Acquitted of Slander

  •   Once outspoken Russian journalist Mikhail Beketov, who was nearly beaten to death two years ago and is now confined to a wheelchair, was acquitted of slander Friday.
