  • Fighting, Airstrikes and Protests Rock Libya

  •   Libyan security forces fired tear gas at protesters in the capital as a battle raged between the military and rebels in a key oil stronghold to the east.

  •   Forces loyal to Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi fired the tear gas on Friday after several hundred anti-government protesters took to the streets, following Friday prayers.

  •   Thousands of Iraqis took to the streets in cities and towns across the country on Friday, calling for better public services and demanding the government clean up corruption.
