- Chinese authorities have kicked foreign journalists out of a town in quake-struck Sichuan province where a collapsed school has sparked protests from angry parents of children killed in the earthquake.

- China has rejected allegations that government-backed hackers broke into U.S. lawmakers' computers and copied sensitive information about Chinese dissidents and human rights.
